March Blood Drive
Decatur County Memorial Hospital is hosting a blood drive provided by the Indiana Blood Center on Thursday, March 29th from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm in Conference Room D at the Hospital. Everyone is encouraged to roll up their sleeves for those in need and sign up online at DonorPoint.org. Walk-ins are also welcome. Visit our website at www.dcmh.net/blood-drive/ for more information.
Need a good reason? Indiana Blood Center provides blood to the Decatur County community and by donating, you could be helping a local resident. Approximately 32,000 pints of blood are used each day in the United States. Just one pint of donated blood can help save as many as three people’s lives. To make sure you are a qualified donor, check to see that you meet the following criteria: must be at least 17 years of age and weigh at least 110 pounds, must wait 56 days between donations, must be in good general health, and must not be pregnant. Donors are asked to remember to eat a meal, drink plenty of water before their appointment, and bring a photo ID with them.
If you have any questions about the blood drive or need assistance with the website, please call Amy Shearer at (812) 663-1228 or email email@example.com. Otherwise, come on out and give the gift that keeps on giving.
